to explore Borneo;
a multi-sensory creation that transports you into the lesser known
yet wonderful world of Borneo's forest ecosystems.
Inspired by the magical world of Alice in Wonderland and disappearing ‘down the rabbit hole’ the FAB Sandakan Environmental Experience (SEE) Borneo is a multi-sensory creation that transports you into the lesser known, yet wonderful world of Borneo’s forest ecosystems.The SEE Borneo project consists of 3 components that are interlinked, bringing you from the physical world to a 2-dimensional one and then into a virtual world. SEE consists of a pocket park of tropical tree and plant species, a forest-scape art mural with intricate detail and an online site of virtual tropical forest ecosystem information and interactive content.
Exploring these 3 zones with your personal mobile device, you will criss-cross between the visual stimuli of an art mural, touching plants in our garden park and using your mobile device to explore related forest and biodiversity knowledge through our interactive site that is designed to be explored concurrently.

Future Alam Borneo (FAB) is a not-for-profit NGO that seeks to create opportunities, connections and platforms to showcase Borneo’s ecological potential to an international audience.
We explore ‘experiential education’; creating and organising events and programmes that bring awareness of environmental issues in accessible, enjoyable and impactful ways. Leading by actions and examples, so that people are convinced of its importance. We work closely with environmental, academic and creative experts to create this content.
